Because the wool shrinks and the linen does not, the linen is longer in the finished fabric and creates wavy lines on the surface.

Pick-up stick pattern A: In all of the slots with supplementary warp threads, pick up the supplementary warp threads as well as the background warp threads.

Pick-up stick pattern B: Pick up all of the supplementary warp threads.

Note: You can leave both pick-up sticks in the place as you weave; they will slide past each other.
